In response to the increasingly stringent requirements for high power density, high reliability, and miniaturization in today’s electronics and power systems, Jarson Electronics has introduced the FZ Series Ultra-Low Impedance, Long-Life SMD Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors, designed specifically for switching power supplies and DC/DC converter modules.

As a new-generation filtering and energy-storage solution, the FZ Series achieves 40%–60% lower impedance compared with Jarson’s general-purpose LZ Series, reaching an ultra-low ESR level.

Combined with a long service life of 2,000–5,000 hours at 105°C, these capacitors significantly enhance power-supply filtering performance, efficiency, and reliability—even under harsh operating conditions.

They provide a robust component platform for power systems in industrial control, automotive electronics, and other applications requiring high reliability.

Key Features & Performance

1. Ultra-Low ESR for Lower Ripple and Reduced Heat

Covering sizes from Φ4 to Φ12.5, rated voltages from 6.3V to 100V, and capacitances from 1µF to 3300µF, the FZ Series adopts an optimized ultra-low ESR formulation tailored for high-frequency switching power supplies and DC/DC output filtering. It effectively reduces output ripple and noise, minimizes self-heating, and delivers notable improvements in power-supply efficiency and stability.

2. Long Life at 105°C & High Reliability

With a lifetime rating of 2,000–5,000 hours at 105°C, the FZ Series ensures exceptional reliability. Compact sizes are ideal for dense control boards, while larger sizes serve as main output filter capacitors—allowing a single series to cover the reliability requirements of power supplies across various power levels.

3. Wide Temperature Range & Vibration-Resistant Structure

Operating temperature: –55°C to +105°C. Reinforced structural design enhances vibration resistance, making the series well suited for outdoor equipment, industrial controls, automotive electronics, and other environments exposed to thermal cycling and mechanical stress.

4. SMT-Friendly & Environmentally Compliant

The entire series uses SMD packaging compatible with reflow soldering and tape-and-reel automation. Compliant with RoHS 2.0, REACH & SVHC, and AEC-Q200, the FZ Series is easy to integrate into projects requiring strict certification standards.

1. Fire Safety / Security Systems and Long-Operating Devices

Commonly used specifications: 47–330µF / 6.3V, 100–120µF / 16V Typical applications include detectors, alarms, indicator panels, emergency lighting, and power control units. These capacitors provide stable low-ripple filtering and voltage smoothing for 3.3V / 5V / 12V output stages in compact PCBs.

Recommended specifications:

  • 100–220µF / 16V

  • 47–220µF / 35V, 50V Suitable for 12V/24V buses and DC/DC outputs, they effectively absorb ripple from high-current switching, provide energy buffering during startup or load transients, and ensure reliability with adequate voltage margins.
